How I Work
A collaborative approach to understanding what's getting in the way and developing the skills to help you move forward in your sport.
Sport psychology isn't about giving you a list of things you should be doing. It's about understanding your experiences, what matters to you and what you'd like to change, then working together to develop practical ways forward.
What to expect
01
Free 20-Minute Introduction
A relaxed first conversation to understand what's bringing you to sport psychology, what you've been experiencing and what you'd like to improve. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide whether working together feels right for you.
02
Understanding You
If we decide to work together, we'll explore your sporting experiences, your current challenges and the wider context around them. The aim is to build a clearer understanding of what's happening and what may be influencing how you think, feel and behave in your sport.
03
Develop a Plan Together
We'll identify what matters most to you and decide together what you'd like to work on. Your support will be tailored to your individual needs rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all programme.
04
Ongoing Support
We'll put the work into practice, reflect on what you're noticing and adapt as you progress. The aim is to help you develop psychological skills and ways of responding that you can continue to use within your sport and everyday life.
A collaborative approach
You don't need to have all the answers before you start.
You don't need to know exactly what you need help with before getting in touch. That's something we can explore together.
My role isn't to 'fix' you or tell you exactly what to do. It's to help you understand your own experiences, explore what matters to you and support you in making meaningful changes.
